Wer war Alfred Kerr? Nur der berühmte Theaterkritiker? Er war viel mehr. 27 Jahre schrieb er über das Leben in Berlin – eine regelrechte Kulturgeschichte der Stadt. Er reiste durch die Welt, seine Berichte sind bis heute lebendige Literatur, er schrieb Gedichte und Opernlibretti, kämpfte für die Rettung der Weimarer Republik, Goebbels hasste ihn. 1933 rettete er sich Mitte Februar ins Exil. Ein glanzvolles Leben stürzte ins Nichts. Erinnert wird an den bekannten, zu berichten ist vom unbekannten Kerr.
