Sie sind Superstars der amerikanischen Aktivistenszene: Ihre Aktionskunst sind utopische Interventionen, folgenreiche Irritationen, kluge Proteste, humane Visionen, um Menschen "wachzurütteln", unsere Gesellschaft zu spiegeln und so auf globale Missstände und ihre politischen und ökonomischen Verknüpfungen hinzuweisen. Seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten engagieren sie sich mit viel Witz und Einfallsreichtum für eine bessere Welt und erfinden dabei nonchalant eine neue Protestkultur.

The Yes Men: Presentation and performance in English, followed by a talk.

They are superstars of the American activist scene: their culture-jamming exploits are utopian interventions, inflammatory critiques, shrewd protests, humane visions designed to "shake people awake", to hold up a mirror to our society and raise awareness of the deplorable state of affairs in the world and the way the status quo is perpetuated by politics and economics. For almost two decades, the duo have pursued their mission of exposing the truth in funny and ingenious ways, and in the process have casually invented a new culture of protest.
