Our Bodies Our Rights - an interactive evening

Information about the evening (German below):

Women* and Trans* are often deprived of the right to contraception and abortion and denied the right to truly control their own bodies, and if and how many children they want to have.
So the situation around reproductive health and self determination remains uncertain. However, there are ways for us to continue fighting for our reproductive rights.
We will have speakers* on the various aspects of reproductive health and self determination and an in depth discussion.
Afterwards we invite everyone to share your thoughts and experiences in whichever way you prefer, be it poetry, spoken word, storytelling or singing...

Those of you who can not make it on that evening and also those who of you who prefer to have their thoughts shared anonymously, can send us a contribution ahead of the event. We will then present it for you. Of course, contributions are deliberate. First and foremost, this is an evening to be inspired, to create room for exchange and to meet like-minded people.

Lea Dudouet and Luca Häse initiated the event and will host the evening. They met at the International School 'Nelson Mandela' in Berlin. Lea is in her last year of her sociology bachelor in London and Luca just started her studies in Berlin.

Da Frauen* und Trans* das Recht auf Verhütung und Abtreibung streitig gemacht wird und sie zu oft nicht selbst bestimmen können, ob und wie viele Kinder sie haben möchten, bleibt die Situation rund um reproduktive Gesundheit brenzlig. Es gibt jedoch Wege, auf denen wir weiterhin für reproduktive Rechte kämpfen können.
Im Anschluss an die Diskussion laden wir Euch alle dazu ein, Eure Gedanken zu dem Thema in jeglicher Form zu teilen, sei es Poesie, Gesang, "Spoken Word" oder einfach eine Geschichte zu erzählen.

Auch diejenigen die nicht an dem Abend teilnehmen können oder ihren Beitrag lieber anonym von uns vorlesen lassen wollen, können uns gerne etwas vorab schicken. Dies ist ein Abend, um sich inspirieren zu lassen und Gleichgesinnte zu inspirieren.
