The PLUSH NOCTURNE series, founded and curated by Avery Leigh's Night Palace, is an intimate and magical series of performances, with a distinct focus on non-binary and women performers. The series aims to shift our collective attention and resources to folks least centered in artistic spaces. ✨CHRISTINANOEL & THE CREATURE✨ is a Brooklyn-based dance theater company producing immersive performance pieces. Comprised of dancers, musicians, and visual artists, the hybrid performance medium utilizes the dancers’ voices, bodies, and individual perspectives of the world. The resulting work envelops viewers in multi-textured environments derived from human connections and encounters. The Creature’s mission is to push the boundaries of dance performance and create a space for dialogue and educational outreach.

✨CAMILA CELIN✨ began playing guitar at age nine. For several years, she has been doing intensive studies in the Indian sarod, in Kolkata with sarod player Sougata Roy Choudhury and in New York with sitar maestro Pandit Krishna Bhatt. In 2009 she was nominated for a Grammy for best world music album in collaboration with slide guitar maestro Debashish Bhattacharya. She has been an active performer in her native Colombia, the U.S. and India. Camila has composed music for several films, for theater as well as for commercials and lives between New York City and Kolkata, India.

✨ROSHNI SAMLAL✨ is a New York–based tabla player originating from Trinidad, WI, where she was initiated into the tradition of Indian classical music at the age of 5, into the academic community of “Bharatiya Vidya Sansthan”, taught by the Hindusthani classical theorist and composer, Professor H.S.Adesh, both in vocal performance and tabla. Since 1998 he has continued her tutelage in the Benares style of tabla playing under Shri Tapan Modak and is currently a student of the epic Farukhbad exponent Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and the masterful Punjab/Benares . While her passion is Indian classical tabla, Roshni has performed in many collaborative settings in creating scores for films and playing for kirtan singers such as Snatam Kaur and Nina Rao. Roshni has had the opportunity to accompany maestros in the Hindustani classical world, such as Pt. Subrata Roy Chaudhuri, Steve Gorn. Roshni is an actively performing member of the innovative collective, the Brooklyn Raga Massive and teaches in the NY area.
