Yoga for Choice

The World Health Organisation recommends that safe and legal abortion be made available to all women, but laws governing abortion in Ireland and Northern Ireland are some of the most restrictive in the world.

In order to access basic medical healthcare, women are forced to travel, often in secret and often alone, stretching financial resources simply to have control over their own bodies. For those without the financial
resources, the burden of an unwanted pregnancy can be catastrophic.

Every year an average of 11 women a day travel from the island of Ireland to Britain access healthcare their governments refuse to provide.

#YogaforChoice aims to fundraise for various pro-choice organisations in Ireland and the UK who are campaigning for increased access to abortion and supporting those affected in the meantime.

Proceeds from this event will go to the Abortion Support Network. ASN is a volunteer led organisation which aims to provide financial assistance and accommodation to those travelling for an abortion.

Classes are open to all levels, including beginners.
Tickets are £12. Pro-choice merchandise will also be available at the event. Please bring your own mat- if you don't have one, please let us know by emailing by info@ioga.life and we will provide a few spares!
