Gipfel für globale Solidarität – Global Solidarity Summit

Fast 80 Initiativen und Organisationen aus dem In- und Ausland laden anlässlich des kommenden G20-Gipfels in Hamburg zum zweitägigen internationalen „Gipfel für globale Solidarität“ am 5. und 6. Juli nach Hamburg ein.
Ziel des Alternativgipfels ist es, der G20 eine Politik globaler Solidarität entgegenzustellen und Strategien sowie mögliche Bündnisse zu ihrer Umsetzung zu diskutieren. Wir sind überzeugt: eine andere Politik ist möglich! Deshalb versammeln wir uns beim ‚Gipfel für globale Solidarität‘! Höchste Zeit, dass alle diejenigen, die eine andere Politik wollen oder bereits praktizieren, sich verständigen, wie wir in dieser Situation eine Wende erreichen können.
Insgesamt gibt es 11 Podienveranstaltungen mit Gästen aus der ganzen Welt, u.a. mit der renommierten Ökonomin Jayati Gosh, der Globalisierungskritikerin und Trägerin des Alternativen Nobelpreises Vandana Shiva aus Indien und dem führenden kurdischen Politiker Salih Muslim aus Rojava.

Begleitend zu den Panels/Podien wird es mehr als 70 Workshops zu den unterschiedlichen Themensträngen geben.

More than 50 initiatives and organizations from Germany and abroad, are inviting for the international „Global Solidarity Summit“ taking place on 5 & 6 July.

As an answer to the G20 Summit on 7 and 8 July, the „Alternative Summit“ will bring together and amplify our criticism, discuss alternatives and, above all, build alliances and develop strategies for the implementation of a policy for global solidarity. We are convinced that other policies are possible! It is high time for all of us who are standing up for different policies or are already practicing them, in order to agree on how to turn things around.

At the Global Solidarity Summit there will be 11 panels with international guests, e.g. highly renowned economist Jayati Gosh, globalization critic and winner of the alternative nobel prize Vandana Shiva from India and the leading Kurdish politician Salih Müslim from Rojava.

Apart from the panels, there will be numerous workshops.
