***PLEASE READ REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS BELOW***
On Saturday, June 17th, Women's March Netherlands will join Amsterdam locals and newcomers, young and old, as well as fellow activist organisations such as DoeTank Peer, to walk 10 kilometres during the Night of the Refugee (Nacht van de Vluchteling), an event organised by Netherlands Refugee Foundation.
All proceeds raised by our team during this Charity Night Walk will be used by Netherlands Refugee Foundation (Stichting Vluchteling), to help refugees still on the run by providing emergency access to shelter, food, drinking water and medical care.
The goal is to join others in a powerful, visible support of refugees and migrants. In doing so, Women's March Netherlands also wishes to honor the memory of those who have already lost their lives while fleeing violence and conflict. All refugees--our newest neighbors--simply want a better future for themselves and their families. They are us.
So come join us.
Some practical points:
- we are asking that each Night Walker in our team raise, in their own network of family and friends, a minimum of 40 euros, all donations going 100% to the Netherlands Refugee Foundation, to provide emergency aid and services.
- Starting point of the walk is at Westergasfabriek, at 18:30.
- The 10 km walk should take about 2 hours at a relaxed pace.
- Sign up is *required* to participate, simply message Women's March Netherlands FB page
your full name,
email address,
date of birth, &
agreed commitment to raise 40 euros (min).
We will forward your details to the walk organisers.
**Please note: due to permit restrictions, there are less than 25 spaces available on the Women's March Netherlands team, so the earlier you sign up, the better your chances of joining us for this special evening of solidarity.
If our team is full, you can join individually, or donate directly here:

And please join our discussion to tell us your own reason(s) for joining this walk!
