Yanar Mohammed: Frauenrechte im Irak

Wir freuen uns sehr, als diesjährige VOIX DES FEMMES Gastfrau eine Menschenrechtsverteidigerin des Nahen Ostens begrüssen zu dürfen: Yanar Mohammed aus dem Irak.

Vom 8. – 13. Juni 2017 spricht die irakische Feministin in verschiedenen Schweizer Städten über ihren harten alltäglichen Kampf für die Rechte und den Schutz der Frauen im Irak. Yanar Mohammed engagiert sich im Irak seit über 15 Jahren für Frauenrechte. In dieser Zeit schuf sie unter anderem die ersten irakischen Schutzhäuser für gewaltbetroffene Frauen.

Während der VOIX DES FEMMES 2017 wollen wir mit unserer Gastfrau neben der Situation der Frauen im Irak sowohl über die riskante Arbeit von Yanar Mohammed als auch über jene von Menschenrechtsverteidigerinnen im Allgemeinen diskutieren.

Das Gespräch wird simultan auf Deutsch und Englisch übersetzt.
Der Eintritt ist frei.
Türöffnung: 17:30 Uhr.
