En Marzo, las Jaguaras Despiertas te traen ‘Mujeres Generando Cambio’: un mes entero de actividades para sentir, explorar y expresar el ser mujer migrante, poderosa y anti-patriarcal.

Una conversación sobre movimientos sociales y proyectos liderados por mujeres latinoamericanas que inspiran cambios en nuestra realidad. Estaremos realizando un taller de impresión para plasmar las voces y retratos de mujeres en lucha de diferentes culturas.

De alas y sueños -Conciencia y Movimiento
Utilizando herramientas de juego y arte terapia exploraremos las luchas que nos cohabitan, desde lo individual y cotidiano, hasta lo colectivo y trascendental. Una invitación para conectar nuestras vivencias y las de nuestra comunidad como acto de conciencia amorosa y de sanación.

Bordar, pensar, amar, crear… mientras la aguja convierte el hilo en trazos. Volutas y artistas que se entrelazan en una sensibilidad heredada de generación en generación, hoy retomamos esta labor cotidiana para dar voz a nuestras luchas. Entonces, la aguja y el hilo se convierten en un arma política.

-‘Minga por la mujer migrante: La Hija de la Laguna’ 6pm
Para culminar el mes internacional de la mujer, lxs invitamos a la presentación exclusiva de La Hija de la Laguna - documental que cuenta la historia de Nélida, una mujer enfrentando a Minera Yanacocha, para defender las Lagunas sagradas de la montaña. Después de la película celebraremos los logros del mes con música y comida - al mejor estilo latinoamericano.

Durante los distintos eventos intentaremos grabar y captar, en video, el trabajo de Resistencia de las compañerxs de nuestra comunidad, para en el último evento, poder compartir y festejar a Nuestrxs Mujeres Generando Cambio.

In March, Movimiento Jaguar Despiertx - MJD bring you 'Women Generating Change': a month of activities to feel, explore and express being a powerful, anti-patriarchal, migrant woman.

Throughout the different workshops,we will be documenting the stories of Resistance of the women in our community - YOU - to create a video which will be shown at the final event in order to celebrate the many ways that ‘Women are Generating Change’.

- ‘Women, Creativity and Struggle’ 08.03.17 @ 6-8.30pm
w/ Wretched of the Earth / LAWRS / London Mexico Solidarity (LMS) / MJD and others.
A conversation about the social movements and projects being led by Latin American women which inspire change in our realities both here and in Latin America, followed by a printing workshop to express the voices and create portraits of women in struggle from different cultures.

- 'Tell me your struggle’ / 13 & 14.03.17 @ 6-8.30pm
w/ Wings and Dreams - Consciousness and Movement
Using games and art therapy tools, we will explore the struggles that surround us, from daily individual struggles, to collective trascendental experiences of change. This workshop is an invitation to connect our experiences and those of our community as an act of loving, awareness and healing.

-Embroidery and Resistance '24.03.17 @ 6 -8.30pm

....In this Workshop we will give priority to immigrant women and non-binary people from the Global South ....
Embroider, think, love, create ... while the needle turns the thread in strokes. Volutes and artists are intertwined in the sensitivity passed on from generation to generation, with this workshop we seek to resume this daily work to give voice to our struggles. Allowing the needle and thread to become a political weapon.

-'Minga for the migrant woman: The Daughter of the Lagoon '6pm
To conclude International Women's Month, we invite you to an exclusive screening of La Hija de la Laguna - a documentary which tells the story of defiant territorial defender Nélida, a woman taking on the Yanacoha Mining company in order to defend the sacred lagoons of the mountain. After the movie we will celebrate the achievements of the month with music and food - in the best Latin American style.

This event will be held in Spanish but please let us know if you need any translation for any talk or workshop.
