Building a Feminism for the 99%: Mobilization for International Women's Strike
An open conversation with feminists, students, workers, professors and international activists, including Nancy Fraser and Miriam Ticktin.
February 28, 6pm, The Auditorium at 66 W 12th st.
Have you heard yet? Women in more than 30 different countries will strike on March 8th! And we need your help to pull this off!
It will be a day of action organized by and for women who have been marginalized and silenced by decades of neoliberalism directed towards working women, women of color, Native women, disabled women, immigrant women, Muslim women, lesbian, queer and trans women. It will be the beginning of a new international feminist movement that organizes resistance not just against Trump and his misogynist policies, but also against the conditions that produced Trump, namely the decades long economic inequality, racial and sexual violence, and imperial wars abroad.
Wanna learn more about it? Wanna be part of this incredible effort of international solidarity and resistance? Join us for this event and come with your ideas, questions and energy! Bring your friends, your family, your mothers, your neighbors, your kids, your partners - the more we are, the louder our voice becomes!
