Description

Seit langem planen wir diese Veranstaltung – nun ist es endlich soweit:

“Dancing Through Gardens“ / „Durch Gärten Tanzen“ (Indonesien/Frankreich/Deutschland 2014, 140 min) ist ein ganz besonderer Kunst-Doku-Spielfilm – eine farbenfrohe Bild- und Bewegungsreise durch Indonesien, Deutschland und Frankreich mit atemberaubender Musik:

Die Tänzerin Oxana Chi begibt sich auf eine künstlerische Spurensuche nach Tatjana Barbakoff, einer chinesisch-lettisch-jüdischen Tänzerin der 1920/30er Jahre, die 1944 in Auschwitz ermordet wurde.
Filmisch begleitet von ihrer Partnerin Layla Zami bietet Oxana eine empowernde Erzählung aus feministischer Perspektive.
Dokumentarische und fiktive Szenen, gespielt von der Schauspielerin Eva Schöngut, Archivmaterial und zeitgenössische Tanzperformance, poetische Aufnahmen und politisches Engagement fließen in diesem außergewöhnlichen Film zusammen.

Die Filmemacherinnen sind anwesend und freuen sich auf eine Diskussion nach dem Film.
