A workshop facilitated by Lee Seekings-Norman and artists Jo Hodges and Denise Zygadlo that creatively explores Menopause; how it affects us, expands us or restricts us, how we are seen or not seen, what’s hard and what’s wonderful, what we don’t understand and what we do, and all the unique and diverse ways in which we meet this time in our life; whether you are a long way off, in the thick of it now or beyond.
Changing Room Exhibition Launch, Saturday 1st October, 12.30pm to 3.30pm
We’ll be using discussion as well as creative activities (collage, image transfer, photography, simple printing and writing) to explore experiences. We’d love you come along; chat, experiment, create and contribute – as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
No art experience necessary. The sessions will be strictly confidential. We look forward to meeting you and exploring together!
The workshop links to the Changing Room interactive art installation on show at Glasgow Women’s Library from 3rd October. Changing Room aims to recognize and acknowledge the changes and challenges of the menopause, to explore stereotypes of women as we age, and to create space for a positive, playful and creative celebration of this new life phase. The exhibition continues until Friday 14th October, visit during GWL opening hours.
