Mahnwache für 130+ Verschwundene im Norden Kameruns

Description

In ihrem Einsatz gegen die islamistische terroristische Gruppierung Boko Haram haben kamerunische Sicherheitskräfte schwere Menschenrechtsverletzungen an der Zivilbevölkerung begangen.

Im Dezember 2014 haben Militär und Gendarmerie bei der Durchsuchung zweier Dörfer 9 EinwohnerInnen außergerichtlich hingerichtet. Über 200 Männer und Jungen wurden verhaftet, von denen 25 in Polizeigewahrsam umkamen und 130 immer noch verschwunden sind.

Amnesty International fordert die Regierung Kameruns auf:

- Auskunft über das Schicksal der 130 Verschwundenen zu geben
- alle Fälle von außergerichtlichen Hinrichtungen und von in Polizeigewahrsam umgekommenen Personen zu untersuchen
- die noch lebenden Gefangenen menschenwürdig zu behandeln und Besuche durch Familien und Rechtsbeistand zu erlauben
