Sommer und blauer Himmel in Leer. Doch die Idylle trügt. Kommissar Guntram entdeckt bei einem Spaziergang am Deich eine ältere Frau im Gras liegend, sie scheint zu schlafen. Neben ihr im Gras findet er außerdem ein aufgeschlagenes Märchenbuch, das ihm Rätsel aufgibt. Denn als noch weitere Senioren sterben, bei denen Märchenbücher gefunden werden, glaubt die Polizei an einen Serienmörder. Eine harte Nuss für Kommissar Guntram.
