Sarah Diehl is a Berlin-based German author, publicist and filmmaker and will present her book "Die Uhr, die nicht tickt: Kindeslos glücklich"( The clock, that does not tick: Happy without children) which deals with the pressures of society to have children just because you are a woman and of a certain age. More and more women remain childless by choice and there is still a stigma around it. Sarah Diehl has interviewed a number of women who have chosen not to have children and this book is a plea for a contemporary approach to female identity not attached to motherhood.
Obvious Child is an honest comedy about what happens when Brooklyn stand-up comedian Donna Stern (Jenny Slate) gets dumped, fired and pregnant just in time for Valentine’s Day. Forever nudged by her parents to make better choices, Donna does exactly that when a one-night stand leads to a difficult decision. Though sure of her choice, Donna must gain the confidence to believe in her talent, herself, and in those around her, especially one surprisingly decent guy who just might make this the most memorable Valentine’s Day of her life.
