Screening will be moved INSIDE if its cold or rainy.
Please join us and our partners Mobile Kino and Missy Magazine, for the screening of Camp Beaverton: Meet the Beavers - a documentary film about the only all-women, trans-inclusive, sex-positive camp at Burning Man, a radical arts festival in the desert of northern Nevada, USA. Before the feature presentation we will screen Diane Busuttils short film Fresh Fruit.
Burning Man creates a temporary city for 8 days, that is called home by over 60,000 people and is the most unique adult playground in the world. It operates on 10 principles a gift-giving economy (no money is exchanged), Leave No Trace and Radical Participation.
Camp Beaverton is a wildly popular camp that creates a safe space for women and trans to explore their sexual boundaries and desires. They teach educational workshops for both women and men, and host the world's largest women-only / trans-inclusive play party called, the STRAP-ON-A-THON.
In 2012, filmmakers Ana Grillo and Beth Nelsen, aka Ana Mission and Agent Nelsen, documented the Beavers throughout their 8 day journey, and captured the hearts and minds of the Beavers with thought provoking interviews and beautiful cinematography.
Filmmakers Ana Grillo and Diane Busuttil will join us for a Q&A after the film.
The screening is powered by our favorites partners in crime, the fantastic Missy Magazine and Mobile Kino.
