Votando por Igualdad Viviendo por Actualizar (VIVA)
We are currently holding a phone bank in Bakersfield to help with the Latin@ voter turnout for the special Kern County district election being held this Tuesday, July 23rd. This matters because we need more Latin@s voting and talking about policy issues that affect them, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) also known as Obama Care, which critically impacts Latin@s' and immigrants' rights and access to health care. We need to vote to weigh in on who will represent us at a local level, not just federally. Stand with Latin@s by joining our efforts in one of these two upcoming phone banks:
In Los Angeles! Phone Bank on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 5:30-7:30PM at:
Little Tokyo
(RSVP for exact location and additional information)
Los Angeles, CA
Please let us know if you can come volunteer with us even if it's for an hour (don't worry, we will provide food, snacks and training if this is your first time)! Bring your lovely selves and friends interested in changing the community through direct local action.
We have TWO DAYS left, which means we need all the help, support, and love that you can give.
Please RSVP to clrjleader1@gmail.com or call 213-270-5258 and ask for Jocelyn.
With your RSVP, please include:
Your name, phone number, email address, which phone bank you will be attending, and childcare needs.
