Description
Wir zeigen den Film "Audre Lorde. The Berlin Years 1984-1992" (Dok 82min.2011) von Dagmar Schultz in unserer Filmreihe "Inside". In Anwesenheit der Regisseurin und Ria Cheatom, die auch an dem Film mitgewirkt hat.
Zum Film:
1992, vor genau zwanzig Jahren, starb die berühmte afroamerikanische Dichterin und Autorin Audre Lorde, einer vielzitierten Selbstbeschreibung zufolge „Lesbe, Feministin, Schwarze, Dichterin, Mutter, Kämpferin“.
In den Achtzigerjahren holte Dagmar Schultz, die damals am John-F.-Kennedy Institut der Freien Universität Berlin lehrte, Lorde als Gastprofessorin nach Berlin. Ein Schritt, der nachhaltige Auswirkungen hatte. Lorde wurde zur Mentorin und Mitbegründerin der afrodeutschen Bewegung.
