Description
With a focus on the narrative passages in the Talmud, examine rabbinic portrayals of women, asking whether they provide relevant role models for women in our time. Rabbi Luciana Pajecki Lederman, Brazil’s first female rabbi (at Comunidade Shalom in São Paulo) was ordained in 2005 by the Jewish Theological Seminary. A former JCC rabbinic intern, Luciana is back in New York with her family to pursue further studies. No Hebrew required!
