Begleitet von fünf Musikern präsentiert sich die spanische Ausnahmetänzerin in einer Solo-Performance. Dabei zelebriert Maria Serrano ihre ganz persönlichen Stil: Flamenco tief in der Tradition verwurzelt und dennoch modern. Atemberaubend schnelle Zapateados wechseln mit virtuosen Gitarrensoli, sinnliche Armdrehungen nähren sich aus poetischen Pianovariationen, kein Rhythmus scheint zu schnell, keine Drehung zu schwierig. Bis in die Fingerspitzen lebt die Sevillanerin die Intensität jeder Bewegung. Ihr Tanz ist immer kraftvoll, sinnlich und intensiv. André Heller schrieb über sie: „Maria Serrano ist ein vulkanisches Ereignis. Sie tanzt ihre Eingebungen ins Reine. Manchmal glaubt man, sie wäre von Springteufeln besessen undAugenblicke später gehört sie ganz den abgründigsten Melancholien. Ihre Kunst bleibt stets im Magischen beheimatet. Man kann es nicht erklären, nur bewundern.” - Schöner kann man es eigentlich nicht ausdrücken.
