Die Erzählerin Tania Blixen, wegen ihrer phantasiereichen und origenellen Erzählkunst auch die "Scheherezade des Nordens" genannt, ist in den meisten durch ihre Erzählungen "Afrika - dunkel lockende Welt" (verfilmt unter dem Titel "Jenseits von Afrika") bekannt. Neben diesem Werk schuf sie eine Reihe kleinerer Erzählungen, die sie zu einer Meisterin der Kurzprosa machten. Der Vortrag will das facettenreiche Leben und Werk der Tania Blixen vorstellen.
