Description
Musik liegt in der Luft!
Parallel zur „jazzahead 2011“ präsentiert die Weserburg eine Auswahl der Bilder Mark Harringtons, der stets die Beziehung seiner Werke zum Jazz betont. Zusammen mit einem mitten im Raum stehenden Grotrian-Steinweg Konzertflügel werden sie bis zum 16. Oktober zu sehen sein.
Am Freitag, dem 29. April wird dieses Instrument inmitten der Bilder von Pianist Michael Wollny bespielt. Der Vibraphonist Christopher Dell wird ihn begleiten und Mark Harrington selbst wird den Part der Stimme übernehmen.
Zur Eröffnung sprechen Peter Friese, stellvertretender Direktor der Weserburg, und Siggi Loch, Sammler und Musikproduzent.
Der Eintritt am Abend der Eröffnung ist frei!
