»isson« ist ein Doppelportrait - gleich und doch überraschend anders. Zwei parallel getrennte Welten über den Kern des Wesens, pur und formal in der Anlage, aber von einer poetischen Kraft und persönlichen Eindringlichkeit, die direkt ins Herz zielt. Ein Abend wie ein kleines Juwel.

Der Doppelgänger irritiert und fasziniert zugleich: Sein Auftauchen verwischt die Grenzen zwischen dem Ich und den anderen. Das Stück wurde ursprünglich 2003 als Solo für zwei Frauen von Lena Meierkord und Toula Limnaios getanzt. Die aktuelle Fassung von 2016 ist eine neue Version für zwei Männer.

the motif of the ‘doppelgaenger’ or look-alike is both irritating and fascinating at the same time: his appearance confounds the boundaries between oneself and others. the doppelgaenger questions concepts of similarity and difference, problematizes the subject and its identity.

«isson« means ‘same’ in greek and is dedicated to contrasts, reality and illusion, light and shadows, restlessness and peace. two realities that cannot be separated.
