Do you love improv but want to stretch your writer muscles or love writing but want to add more spontaneity to your work and get out of your head? This class blends both the improv and writing worlds together. We'll explore how improv can inspire your next sketch or break up your usual writing habits. Feel free to bring and ideas you may have but don't know what to do with or sketches you haven't finished. New to writing, just bring your self. This workshop will meet you where you are at in your creative process and leave you with new tools for old pieces or direction and ideas for new ones.

ABOUT LYDIA HENSLER
Lydia Hensler is a veteran improv performer and teacher at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre in New York. She can be seen performing at UCB Hell’s Kitchen on Saturday nights with her team Grandma’s Ashes and Sunday nights in the flagship show Asssscat 3000. She loves working with all skill levels and celebrating everyone’s unique voice.
Lydia is also a UCB Character teacher and performer. She was on UCB’s character team Characters Welcome and has performed her solo work on both their NY and LA stages. Her project ’30 Characters in 30 Days‘ can be found on Youtube. Lydia is also a seasoned sketch actress and storyteller.
