El Salón Potluck

El Salón is a series of monthly get-togethers, under an umbrella of a potluck where we share ideas, food, conversation, and presence.

Each evening of El Salón Potluck aims to start conversations that contextualize artists, collectives, creative endeavors, personal journeys and histories. Narratives are abstract and objective giving light to different modes in which art and culture is made. The vitality that comes from this open forum acts as an active response to contemporary art making and materiality, socio-political systems, and cultural exchange.

Nurture the group with food, knowledge, and ideas. Food is not required, bring what you can. This is a sustainable practice, environmentally conscious, with much gratitude for your contributions and support.

The evening starts off with informal introductions and topics of conversation for the evening. Then two presentations by artists will follow. Engaged listening and conversation is encouraged.

During our residency there will be a donation system to support the endeavours of this community space, where 100% of your donation for the evening will go into the operations of NWS.
