Honoring Indigenous Women Leading The Women's March

❗Due to the quick rise in the numbers of participants by the hundreds for both the Honor Indigenous Women event page and the Women's March event page. I want to give you all a heads up and ask that you make your way to the State Capitol early! Breakfast will still be served from 8am to 9am at Tonatierra Nahuacalli 802 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85006. However, please plan on heading to the Capitol area around 8:30am if your are planning on parking close to the AZ State Capitol building.
There will be 1,000 + people for the Honoring of Indigenous Women! So we will move the meet up spot to Wesley Bolin Memorial Park 1690 W Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85007 starting at **8:30am to 9:00am**. We will gather and get organized together.❗

**The March will start at 10am at the Capitol and will loop back to the Capitol - 2 miles and there will be a shorten route**

Join the Honoring Indigenous Women group of the peoples during the Women's March in Phoenix. Let's encourage and empower the communities. It's important and a serious time to spread the awareness of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women crisis. #MMIW

84% of Native American women experience violence in their lifetime. But outside of Indian Country, few people are aware of this epidemic. It's time to raise awareness and show that these women are not invisible. #Notinvisible

We are here to honor and remember our women, our sisters and our youth who have been stolen from us. We will be a voice for them. #Stolensisters

We stand against the images that perpetuates a belief that Indigenous Women are free to be characterized, exotified, and sexualized. #Notyourcostume

We stand to stop the dehumanization. #Notyourmascot

We recognize that these issues also connect to the struggle of the continued assaults and desecration on Mother Earth. #Metoo

Represent your participation by wearing RED (traditional/ regalia). Please, donate one-sided of your earring to be added to an art piece. We welcome Indigenous peoples who sharr songs and drum in honor of the Indigenous Women.
