WOMEN TO THE FRONT!!
Dust off those protest signs! It’s been a year since our historic Women’s March on Doylestown, and we’re ready to rally, rejoice and rise!
Grab your favorite sign, your friends and family, and meet us at the steps of the old courthouse in Doylestown at 11:30am for a rally, where we’ll join our voices in chant and song and hear from fellow activists, youth, and local women who were recently elected to office!
A group of fierce and inspiring feminist students from local schools are playing a leading role in the event and will lead us on a short march following the rally.
After the rally and march - shop local! Enjoy the dozens of restaurants and shops in Doylestown Borough.
Bring your people - your squad, your partner, your kids - all are welcome!

HELPFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE WOMEN TO THE FRONT RALLY:
PARKING:
Here is a link to a map of some suggested locations in addition to our street parking – which is FREE on Sundays. The largest free parking is at Bucks County Parking Garage (free 24 hrs/day) - 10 minute walk to our march. http://www.doylestownborough.net/visitors/parking
Doylestown is accustomed to having hundreds and even thousands of visitors for regular events like festivals, parades and rallies/protests. There is ample parking, but we suggest you allow for a little extra time to find a spot and possibly walk a few blocks to our march starting point.
BUS/TRAIN: SEPTA 55 bus line has in several stops near the rally. SEPTA Regional Rail - take Doylestown/Lansdale line to the end - walk approx 6-7 blocks to the rally (10 minute walk).
SAFETY: Keep in mind a few things as we rally in Doylestown together: organizers are in touch with our local police, who will help with public safety and firmly protecting our constitutional rights. Please be respectful of local officers who will be closing off streets to keep us safe, watch out for our little ones throughout and help clean up signs and litter. Also, have fun, speak out, make friends and unite for social, racial, environmental, reproductive justice and beloved community!!
There are always a handful of haters who holler at peaceful protesters in Doylestown. Think about what you will you do or say. Ignore or respond with a coherent bold message - consider your stand and response. Please keep in mind this march is kid inclusive - meaning... be bold, be loud, but don't be mean. Our children are watching
SOCIAL MEDIA: Please use #RiseUpDoylestown or #WomenToTheFrontDoylestown for social media posts! And post your photos, signs and videos during and after our rally!
VISITING DOYLESTOWN: There are so many great restaurants and stores in Doylestown Borough! Enjoy some great food and community before or after the rally. Many of Doylestown's local owned stores and restaurants are celebrating our rally with specials and promotions. We hope you enjoy some shopping and a delicious meal during your visit.
The Women to the Front Rally is led by Rise Up Doylestown, a 2000 member local grassroots activist group, with students from area high schools playing a central role.
Raised fist, open heart. Rise UP!
