Eurokrise, Robotik, Staatsbankrott, Dürrekatastrophen. Oder: Bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen, Energiewende, globale Grundrechte. Was steht uns bevor? Kommt die Zukunft über uns und wir sind nur die Crashtest-Dummies der Geschichte? Oder können wir selbst gestalten und wählen?

Am 16. September 2017 entwerfen Bürger_innen zusammen mit Expert_innen internationaler, privater und öffentlicher Forschungsinstitute ein mögliches Zukunftsszenario für die nächsten zehn Jahre in den Themenbereichen Ökonomie, Ökologie und Gesellschaft: Einen ganzen Tag lang, in Workshops und Panels, im ganzen Haus des Deutschen Theaters.

Dieses Labor lädt zu einem partizipativen Prozess, in dem Wissen geteilt und gemeinsam generiert wird. In 13 Workshops versammeln sich 250 Menschen, um Zukunftsszenarien zu entwerfen und einer möglichen Krise ins Auge zu blicken. Die Ergebnisse dieses außergewöhnlichen Labors sowie eines im Frühjahr 2018 folgenden Symposiums fließen in ein Theaterstück ein, das im September 2018 am Deutschen Theater uraufgeführt wird.

WELCHE ZUKUNFT?! ist ein interdisziplinäres, partizipatives Forschungs- und Theaterprojekt. Das Labor am 16. September 2017 bildet den Auftakt des zweijährigen Projektes. Es folgen ein Symposium, ein Theaterstück und eine Abschlussveranstaltung.

WELCHE ZUKUNFT?! ist eine Koproduktion des Deutschen Theaters Berlin mit der Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss, gefördert von der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien aufgrund eines Beschlusses des Deutschen Bundestages.

Based on scientific studies, prognosis and scenario planning with experts, we will be creating a narrative for the next 10 years at the Laboratory on September 16 2017. A full day of collaborative writing in workshops and plenaries at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

The laboratory will be a participatory process, where we to share knowledge. 250 people come together in 13 Workshops to create future scenarios and confront the crisis face on. The results from the laboratory and a following symposium in spring 2018 will be the building blocks for a stage play to be performed in September 2018 at Deutsches Theater Berlin.

WHICH FUTURE?! is an interdisciplinary, participatory research and theatre project. The Laboratory on Sept. 16th 2017 is the kickoff for the two-year event cycle. This will be followed by a Symposium, a stage play and a conclusion.

WHICH FUTURE?! is a coproduction of Deutsches Theater Berlin with the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss, funded by the German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media according to a vote of the German parliament.
