SNAPSHOTS, an original play about Domestic Violence

El 25 Agosto 2011 16:30 - 18:30

Descripción

Two Performances: 4:30 and 5:30 PM
Free admission, driver’s license or passport and vehicle inspection are required for entry

Intimate partner and sexual violence are serious public health problems in the US and worldwide. But this type of violence is preventable. Join us for two free special performances of SNAPSHOTS, an original play written by Patricia Henritze that looks into the lives of women and children whose stories have been forever changed by domestic violence. Monologues from the play will be performed as living art throughout the David J. Sencer CDC Museum’s current exhibit Off the Beaten Path: Violence, Women and Art. Through these individual narratives, we witness the suffering, doubt, humor and extraordinary courage of women making choices to survive.

Driver’s license or passport and vehicle inspection are required for entry. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete this process.
For more information about this event, contact the museum at museum@cdc.gov.

The exhibit runs now through September 9th.
