The “bad girls”, represented in media by characters such as Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the dragon tattoo), Thelma and Louise, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Khaleesi (Game of Thrones) or even Madonna for pop cultural reference, are twomen who challenge the norms and the patriarchal limits forced upon them. Bad girls are not a new phenomena – if you will even Eve was depicted as insubordinate – but depending on the time and context, the attitudes towards them vary. This short film program is a collection of films about female characters who don’t give a fuck and use less conventional strategies to make their way.
