Internationale Vrouwendag vier je dit jaar met Mama Cash en de Guerrilla Girls in het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Er is debat, kunst, mannelijk naakt en er mag gelukkig ook gedanst worden!

DE GUERRILLA GIRLS
De Guerrilla Girls komen naar het Mama Cash Feminist Festival in het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam! Deze anonieme activistes met hun kenmerkende gorillamaskers stellen al decennialang seksisme en racisme in de kunstwereld aan de kaak. Met hun scherpe humor en nog scherpere analyses schudden ze conservators, recensenten en verzamelaars wakker. Op 8 maart heb je een unieke kans om ze live te horen spreken.

FEMINIST OPEN MIC NIGHT
Later op de avond wordt het woord gegeven aan het publiek. We kijken uit naar een avond met creatieve feministen die bereid zijn om zich uit te spreken tegen onze patriarchale, heteronormatieve, westers-christelijke, racistische en kapitalistische samenleving via spoken word, zang, gerant, rap, poëzie, etc. Alles wat uitgesproken moet worden mag! Feminist Open Mic Night is een initiatief van Jolien Spigt (Feminist Art Fest) en Sayonara Stutgard (Uitgeverij Chaos).

Feminist Art Fest bevecht de heteronormatieve cultuur in de kunst- en filosofiewereld en strijd voor volledige inclusiviteit en een gelijke representatie en waardering van kunstenaars en filosofen in de cultuursector.

THE GUERRILLA GIRLS
The Guerrilla Girls are coming to the Mama Cash Festival in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam! These anonymous feminist activists with their trademark gorilla masks have been staging interventions against sexism and racism in the art world for decades. With their sharp wit and even sharper analyses they hold curators, critics and collectors accountable. On March 8th you’ll have the unique opportunity to hear the Guerrilla Girls speak live.

FEMINIST OPEN MIC NIGHT
Later in the evening, the public takes the stage. We look forward to an evening of creative feminists who are willing to criticize patriarchy, heteronormative expectations, racism and capitalism through spoken word, song, rap and poetry.
