This year Women’s March Aotearoa New Zealand is marking the first anniversary of the Women’s March with a hui that will #LookBackMarchForward #KaMuaKaMuri,
In 2017 on 21st January, millions of people around the world took part in the largest global human rights demonstration ever – the Women’s March.
Since then, many Women’s March groups have supported critical issues including marriage equality, indigenous rights, the rights of undocumented migrants, and encouraged women to make their voices heard at the polls.
But there is so much more to be done.
For 2018, Women’s March Aotearoa New Zealand are going to #LookBackMarchForward #KaMuaKaMuri, by gathering for a hui at Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa, National Library of New Zealand, Wellington to mark the first anniversary of the Women’s March.
The hui is also be the first major event in a significant year in Aotearoa New Zealand’s history – the 125th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage.

Registration and Guided Tours are FREE, BYO picnics are welcome; or you can support former refugee women by pre-ordering a $15 chicken or falafel wrap, plus fruit platter from Pomegranate Kitchen for the picnic.
