With shifts in the political and economic landscape across the MENA region, the pillars of patriarchy are under increasing pressure. How do men see their lives and the changing world around them, including the roles and rights of women and girls? In this event, Shereen El Feki, Joey Ayoub and Madawi Al-Rasheed they discuss IMAGES MENA, the first study of its kind to explore the private and public lives of almost 10,000 men and women across the Middle East and North Africa, and what these findings mean for the future of the region.

Admission is on a first-come-first-served basis even after registration. Not everyone who registers attends our events, so to ensure a full house, we allow more registrations than there are seats. Our events are very well attended, so please make sure you arrive early. We cannot guarantee entry.

Shereen El Feki (@shereenelfeki) is the author of "Sex and the Citadel: Intimate Life in a Changing Arab World". She is currently leading the IMAGES MENA study of men, masculinities and gender equality across the Arab region.
Joey Ayoub (@joeyayoub) is a Lebanese writer and PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a Regional Editor at Global Voices for the MENA region and the founder of the blog “Hummus For Thought".
Madawi Al-Rasheed (@MadawiDr) is Visiting Professor at the LSE Middle East Centre. Previously, she was Professor of Anthropology of Religion at King’s College London.
