The House is voting on the Trump Tax Scam today that delivers huge tax cuts to the richest 1% and wealthy corporations, funded by increasing taxes on millions of middle-class Americans and by slashing Medicare, Medicaid and education - the Senate verson now also includes cutting healthcare for mllions of Americans.

Come crash their party afterwards! Let’s show our force and have some fun as we enter into the next stages of the fight in the Senate. The protest will feature fun music, 600 glow sticks, a portable disco light, Cleanup Carl, the Trump Chicken, the Monopoly Man and more!

The corporate-backed Tax Foundation is holding its annual “tax prom” featuring Vice President Pence the evening of Thursday, November 16 at the National Bldg Museum. (https://taxprom.com/) We’d like to greet the attendees with a fitting people's protest.

The tax prom sponsors include Anheuser-Bush, Business Roundtable, Altria, Exxon, Pfizer, Amgen, Dow - big tax dodgers who use offshore tax havens to avoid paying their taxes.

Here’s the background: The Tax Foundation is throwing out trumped-up numbers to justify the Republican tax cut. Not coincidentally, the Tax Foundation is funded by the corporations that will most benefit from the tax scam. Our friends at the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) found this: 23 corporations sponsoring the Tax Prom together hold $691 billion offshore, they maintain at least 822 tax haven subsidiaries, and together they are publicly listed as giving the Tax Foundation $424,000 at the event.
