A night of poetry, music and performances celebrating the lives of male survivors of sexual violence and their communities.
At any given time there are around a million men living as survivors of sexual abuse, and millions more of us are survivors of abuse in childhood*. Chances are either you, or someone you care about is one of those people. It's hard work building a life after sexual violence. It's hard work supporting someone through that.
We all deserve a bit of a knees up.
POETS/THEATRE PERFORMERS: Get in touch to sign up! Message Tanaka Mhishi if you're interested. You don't have to talk about abuse in your set (although you're welcome to).
MUSICIANS: We also want you but the stage is super tiny. Get in touch with me (Tanaka Mhishi) and we'll see what we can work out.
EVERYONE ELSE: You are so, so welcome to come along, even if you've never thought much about this subject before. Hell, especially if you've never thought about it before.
There will be some sad things, and some happy things too. That said, if this is a fraught/difficult/triggering topic for you then please feel free to get in touch beforehand to have a chat about keeping yourself taken care. And if it's a hard NOPE then please, please share it with your friends.
See you at the Betsey!

[Please note that there will be a film crew present as part of an ongoing documentary project for BBC 3. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous, please let us know on the night so we can remember to take you out!]
