“What do we want? Equal Rights! When do we want it? Now!” ERA Rally at Maple Grove Days Parade - organized by WMM and ERAMN.

Join us on July 13th at the Maple Grove Days Parade as we let the participating MN House and Senate Leadership know that the time for the Equal Rights Amendment is now! We want a hearing and a vote for the Equal Rights Amendment in the MN State Legislature in 2018. Despite winning the right to vote, we still don’t have equal rights under the law. We have waited long enough!

At an ERA rally at the Capitol earlier this year, Senate Committee Chair Warren Limmer (who decides what bills get heard) stated that he did not believe women care about legislation which declares women have equal rights under the law – this despite 600 women gathered in front of the Senate and the House, chanting “ERA – all the way!”

Both Sen. Limmer and Majority House Leader, Rep. Joyce Peppin, (as well as US Rep. Erik Paulsen), will be in the parade. Let’s make it clear to them that we do care, we are not going away and it is time for Minnesota to hear and vote on this legislation.

Put on your Women’s March t-shirt and your pussy hat/ears, bring your loud voice and your ERA sign, and let your patriotism fly high for the Equal Rights Amendment at the Maple Grove Parade.

Event Schedule:
4:30pm - Meet up with Women's March MN and ERA MN at corner of Jonquil Lane N and 89th Ave N, Maple Grove, MN 55369
Meet like-minded WMM and ERA MN supporters. Some refreshments will be available. However, if you have a favorite beverage, bring it with you or bring some to share!

6:00pm - Parade and ERA Rallying Time!
We will station ourselves at one spot along the route, maybe 2 if there are enough of us. Political units are at the front of the parade, so we need to be ready!
