Lady Art: Talks

This 2-week exhibition will highlight 5 members of Lady Art Nation’s NYC chapter. The theme will be TEXTURE, reception starts at 7 pm and Talks will commence at 8 pm.

Lady Art Nation is an intersectional feminist collective for creatives encompassing all ethnicities & is gender-expansive. We have an online support system for creatives and IRL events to engage with the community.

Olivia Jane Huffman, founder of Lady Art Nation is a Visual and Performance Artist is based in Brooklyn, NY. Their work deconstructs the psyche to critique social injustices via assemblages, sculpture, performance, and video by exposing misogynistic fantasies embedded in our accepted behavioral norms. Olivia Jane’s art has been exhibited at Forward Union, IDIO Gallery, A.I.R. GALLERY, and Lewis & Clark Gender Studies Symposium and featured in HyperAllergic, Bust Magazine’s column It’s Not Personal, Helen : A Literary Magazine, Susie Magazine, and Las Vegas Review Journal. Lady Art Nation has been featured in Forward Union, Hyperallergic, and Surface Design Association.
